About Nya

I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential. My focus is on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I actively listen and observe initial interactions with new material. I also encourage open communication about what methods work best. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples. I celebrate small successes and provide positive reinforcement. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and setting clear expectations. I find it rewarding to witness a student's "aha!" moment. I am currently pursuing a degree in Biology at the UM and plan to become a physician at the end of my academic career! I can help with Math, English, Science, and more.
