About Nikiya

Hi! My name is Nikiya, and I recently relocated to South Lake Tahoe. I have over 11 years of professional childcare experience and am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and thrive. My journey began at 17 as a Counselor-in-Leadership Training (CILT) at Camp James, where I later became a camp counselor and one-on-one shadow for children with special needs. I spent nearly a decade nannying for one family, caring for their son from ages 9-18, and most recently cared for a little girl from 18 months to 2 & 1/2 years old. I currently work as a teacher at Tiny Seeds Outdoor School, guiding children ages 3-6 through nature-based learning, creative play, and social-emotional development. I love arts and crafts, reading, baking, outdoor adventures, and creating fun, enriching experiences that help children learn, grow, and build confidence.
