About Nichelle

I'm Nichelle, a special education teacher with 10 years of experience working in the same school district with both elementary and middle school students. I recently got married and live in the city now, but I grew up in Oak Park and am happy to work in both areas. I have a strong background working with children with autism and other diverse learning needs. I'm patient, warm, and love bringing a calm and fun energy to every child I work with. I'm reliable, organized, and know how important clear communication is for parents. I'm happy to help with homework, routines, light meal prep, and I also love getting kids outside for activities or helping with family events like birthday parties or outings. I am first aid and CPR trained within my school district and I take safety seriously while still keeping things fun and engaging. I'm looking to build a relationship with a family where there's some consistency. I'd love to be someone they can count on and continue to support over time.
