About Nakayla

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With three years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, and Test Preparation, while also offering instruction in Dance and Sports & Fitness. I believe every child learns differently, so I actively listen and observe to tailor my methods--whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or collaborative discussions--to suit your child's unique style. By breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and connecting lessons to real-world interests, I help students build momentum and confidence. I maintain open communication with families to ensure we are working as a team toward your student's success. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master a new skill is the most rewarding part of my work. I am happy to travel to your home or welcome you to mine, and I look forward to supporting your family's educational journey.
