About Michaiah

Hello, my name is Michaiah. I'm passionate about providing compassionate, hands-on care to those who need it most. I have an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Science and a background that combines both healthcare and caregiving. My experience includes: • Volunteer firefighter for 1 year, where I learned emergency medical response care, and quick problem-solving under pressure • Behavioral health technician/medication tech for 3 years, supporting individuals with co-occurring conditions • Caregiver for my grandmother from May 2024 to February 2025, assisting with daily living activities, transportation to medical appointments, cooking, cleaning, and providing companionship. During this time, I cared for her through Parkinson's, neuropathy, and early-onset dementia • Dementia care experience for the past 10 months, continuing to develop skills in patience, empathy, and individualized support.
