About Michael

I'm nerdy, curious, and outgoing. I like the quick impact I can have on the success of others but also how valuable influences early on can have lifelong benefits. I'm looking to help students excel in STEM fields, encourages movement for holistic well-being, and exploration/time in nature for expanding minds. Or that is just a convenient quick session at a coffee shop to work through homework and the day's subjects. I was a TA in grad school, guest lectured after getting my PhD, and continue to tutor and coach outside of work hours. One thing you should know about me is I have a PhD in environmental engineering, did a Fulbright to India, launched a water startup that provides over 300 million liters of safe water in Dhaka, worked in nuclear energy a few years, and live in South Slope. My skills include engineering, science, and math.
