About Simone

Hi, thank you for viewing my profile! My name is Simone and I am 22 years old. I recently graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in public health, a minor in biology and extensive course work in mathematics and chemistry. Currently, I am continuing my education at Columbia's Masters in Public Health program with the intention of pursing a PhD in public health. During my undergraduate career, I was a teaching assistant and workshop leader for calculus and public health. I taught the concepts from lectures to students in individual, small group and larger group settings. I held office hours one to two times a week to review lecture material with students who asked for help. I have a passion for learning and am exciting to continue to teach others throughout my career. After I finish my PhD, my dream is to become a professor at at major research university, where I can conduct research and lecture students on maternal and child health issues.
