About Miasol

Hi, I'm Miasol Yara! I'm the second eldest in a family of 4 wild, homeschooled kids who I helped care for in my childhood. Since middle school, I've been hired by 20+ families to babysit/nanny children ranging from newborns to preteens. My experience covers baby/toddler care, nap/nighttime routines, after school care, tidying, pet care, transportation, and cooking meals. I've cared for children with special needs, including daily medication administration. I've worked teaching music to children between the ages of 4-18 for a similar amount of time. My nannying style values patience, keeping consistent boundaries for mental and physical wellbeing, and encouraging creative play (I energetically partake- Some children have kindly referred to me as Mary Poppins!). My passion is to help kids grow healthily and happily, and I have done so for over 75 in my time teaching and providing childcare. I'm a UNC Chapel Hill graduate who teaches music in the afternoons, looking for a morning job!
