About Mia

Hi! I'm an incoming graduate student studying Global Affairs, with several years of experience working with and mentoring children and students. In high school, I worked as a Math tutor for elementary school students, where I helped students build their confidence and strengthen their understanding of new concepts. I also worked at a daycare, as a nanny for twins, and as a Support Counselor at Camp Arbutus Hayo-Went-Ha. More recently, through my professional experience, I have had the opportunity to mentor younger analysts and summer interns, helping them learn new skills, stay organized, and navigate new responsibilities. These experiences have strengthened my communication, organization, and time-management skills. I take a patient and encouraging approach to tutoring and enjoy helping students work through challenges, develop strong study habits, and feel more confident in their academic abilities.
