Hello! My name is Melissa, I am 27 years old, and I have a Chemical Engineering degree from UC Davis, and a license as a Professional Chemical Engineer with the State of CA. I have been tutoring for over 3 years, maintaining an average of about 15 hours per week in the school year. I tutor in the evenings after my regular work day as an engineer. I typically tutor high school math, chemistry, and physics. In high school I scored a 2000 on my SAT, 5s on both the calculus AP exams, and a 4 on the Language AP exam. To get my engineering license I had to pass two 6-8 hour engineering exams. I understand that tests can cause a lot of stress for students and I am here to help them feel comfortable and confident going into any exam! I am currently only tutoring online as my schedule is too full to accommodate in-person sessions. Online tutoring has been extremely successful for my students and I believe can work for anyone. I'm not blaming it all on her teacher, but she just couldn't teach the subject to the point my daughter was able to understand the material.
