About Melissa

As a certified teacher with six years of experience, I foster an engaging and supportive learning environment. I adapt my teaching methods by varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I celebrate small successes and provide consistent positive reinforcement to keep students motivated. Regular updates help parents stay informed and reinforce learning at home. I hold a graduate degree and have experience with student accommodation plans (504). Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment when a concept clicks is the most rewarding aspect of being a tutor. I am excited to help your child excel in math and English at the elementary level, and I am available to tutor at the library. I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals!
