I have been a caregiver for over 10 years. I am currently working at The Claremont Colleges and attend Claremont Graduate University pursuing my PhD in education. I am a mom as well. I am returning to caregiving after three years looking for some extra work to provide for my kiddo and my education. 

Throughout my undergraduate studies, I was mainly a nanny for a family of six children, ages 2-13. I also was an occasional nanny for 4-5 different families throughout that time. After graduation I worked full-time, as well as cared for 14-15 families on and occasional basis. This included pet care, transportation, errands, organizing, housekeeeping, and more!

Melissa is caring and reliable.  She is punctual and does a great job adapting her approach to the child's personality.  We will gladly work with her again.

Melissa is fantastic! She is responsive when you first make contact with her and she is a good communicator. Melissa is eager to learn, has a positive energy, and easily makes connections with kids. Melissa was also punctual the 2 times she has come to our house and asks good questions. She has babysat our 3 year old and our 11 month old. Upon walking in the door she had our baby laughing and our 3 year old says she wants Melissa to come back to play soon. I highly recommend Melissa as a babysitter.

We were visiting from out of town and found Melissa on Care.com and were impressed with her reviews (and hired her), but were even more impressed with her care for our children!!  She arrived on the first night and instantly the boys (ages 5 & 2) were transfixed with her positive energy and obvious love of playing and creating activities for them to enjoy.  Each day she came up with fun and engaging things for them to do together with her and our favorite was a special book that our 5 year old created - we still read it at bedtime!  We would most certainly recommend Melissa whole heartedly and hope that if and when we return for another visit that we are able to work with her again!

We interviewed Melissa to watch our 20 month old daughter. She was personable, easy going and had the experience we were looking for.  We ended up hiring someone that lived closer to us but we liked Melissa so much we felt the need to write a review.

We needed to find a babysitter on short notice. We are relatively new in our little town and our usual sitter had moved out of state so I decided to give it a try.  Melissa responded to our ad right away and everything just seemed to fall in to place.  The kids had a great time. We are happy to have her on our list of who to call!

Melissa was available on fairly short notice. Her calm relaxed demeanor put me at ease as well as her extensive experience. She did well with our 10 month old daughter that is sometimes shy/scared with new people and is teething. Will hire again if schedules meet up.
