About Melissa

I am an experienced educator with a strong background in working with early elementary students and children with autism across a wide range of academic levels. I focus on creating a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment where each child feels comfortable and successful. I tailor my approach to meet each student's individual needs, using clear communication, visual supports, and structured strategies to help build both academic skills and confidence. I have experience adapting lessons, supporting behavior and emotional regulation, and helping students stay motivated and on task. At this time, I am offering online tutoring only, as I am temporarily unable to drive. I am comfortable using virtual tools to keep sessions interactive and effective, and I work closely with families to ensure consistency and progress. My goal is to help students grow academically while also building independence, confidence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
