About Lydia

Hi! My name is Lydia H. and I am an experienced tutor and mentor with a strong background in college preparation. I support students academically while also helping them build confidence, organization, and effective study skills. I hold a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Pomona College and a master's degree in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, where I studied as a Schwarzman Scholar. I am currently pursuing further training in healthcare and plan to earn a Master of Science in Anesthesia. My tutoring style is patient, structured, and adaptable to each student's learning needs. I focus on making challenging material approachable while helping students develop the skills needed to succeed independently. I enjoy working with motivated students and partnering with families to support academic growth.
