I worked five years with hospice patients which included such diagnoses as dementia, COPD, cancer, and heart disease. I was a visiting nurse who managed the plan of care, medication management, family education, and referrals to other disciplines. I also worked for a home health agency for 2 years. My main focus was assisting diabetic patients with their symptoms, educating and teaching, plus dressing changes, if needed. I have experience working from a hospital to hospice/home health. I have experience taking care of the elderly not only in the hospital, but in the home. I would love to care for a patient in their home. While in college, I worked in our daycare and taught our 3-4-year-olds for two years.

I have known Melisa for over 37 years. As a friend, person and caregiver you could find no one better. She has the most compassionate and caring heart of anyone I have ever known. Having had numerous surgeries myself it is so important to have a nurse that really genuinely cares. If you don't have your family there the nurse is the next best thing. Lisa is this type of nurse. Another thing in a nurse you want someone who really knows their field. I have never once asked her a health question she couldn't answer. My Mother's health is not the best and she lives with me. Lisa comes by and checks on her for me to make sure she is okay and if there is anything she needs. What more can I say, she is an outstanding person and nurse...You could never ever go wrong with Melisa.
