*ONLINE ONLY* I am a bilingual, certified teacher in grades K-6 with a specialization in special education. I hold both a bachelors and masters degree Special Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. My experience is mainly with students who have disabilities, which includes general education inclusion students with disabilities like ADHD, autism, and specific learning disabilities. I am very familiar with elementary common core standards and curricula. Since 2021, I have worked in Madrid, Spain at an American school as a learning support teacher. I specialize in assessing student levels and adapting content to meet students where they are. I use the science of reading, aligned with the Orton-Gillingham method, as the basis of all reading interventions. I use the concrete-pictoral-abstract method for math interventions and have attended multiple Pam Harris online professional development courses to enhance my math interventions.
