About Mela
Experience: 10 yrs
Over 2 decades of experience as a nanny & preschool teacher. Some of my favorite activities with kids are reading, arts and crafts, baking, making up silly games, and exploring outside. I believe children thrive when they feel safe and loved and when they have plenty of time to be playful and creative. I believe in problem solving rather than punishing and that all behavior is communication. I specialize in infant care and in neurodivergent children. I'm an expert at swaddling and soothing and have helped many babies get on a healthy sleep schedule. I've worked with many kids with high support needs (medical needs, Autism, ADHD, PDA, PTSD, feeding issues, etc.) and have done some parent coaching as well. I'm an adoptive mom to two girls age 13 and 9 who often join me on nanny jobs when they're not in school. They both love helping out with younger kids. I'm partially fluent in ASL. Open to nanny shares. Experience with twins. Have a mini van and extra car seats.

Mela is fantastic with all kids. I have seen her interact with kids with many different backgrounds and needs and I have never met a child who did not respond positively to her. I love watching her with my daughter. My daughter is 8 and Mela is one of only two babysitters I've left her with. I trust her completely. You should definitely hire her - your only regret will be that you didn't find her sooner!
