About Megan

Hi there! My name is Megan . I'm passionate about tutoring and mentoring through mutual knowledge sharing and learning. I have a PhD in psychology from Portland State University where I taught undergraduate classes in addition to tutoring and mentoring students from a variety of backgrounds. I also have extensive experience nannying for my family and members of the community. I have a passion for learning and helping others learn in the way that best fits their needs. My approach to teaching starts with understanding the students goals and learning style and creating a safe environment to ask questions. In my free time I enjoy reading and camping. I also enjoy traveling and have backpacked through both Central and South America. I consider myself to be a very open and kind person that believes I tutoring allows me the opportunity to learn from my students as well.
