About Clement

I worked as a student success advocate for the Step Up Program at three local Portland Public high schools. During my time as an advocate, I maintained a cohort's tutoring and mentoring schedules, attended classes and workshopped learning interventions for all students, including students on IEPs. I spent a year teaching integrated science to middle schoolers. And I completed certification in Instructional Design and Learning Technology from Villanova where I developed a hybrid course for high school students that taught geographic information systems. My mode of tutoring is learning where the student/learner is at, learning about the individual and discovering how to make the subject relevant to them. Connecting algebraic manipulation to playing capture the flag on Call of Duty helped one student pass second semester! I look forward to meeting and assisting in any way I can.
