About Hannah

Hello! My name is Hannah. I am a professional educator and poet based in Portland. I began tutoring 10 years ago at my university's writing center, where I first became passionate about helping students gain the confidence and tools necessary for them to succeed academically. I now teach creative writing to high school students through Literary Arts and teach writing composition at Clackamas community college. I use a Socratic-based tutoring method which prioritizes asking questions to help a student engage with and take ownership of their work. My creativity, passion, and empathy ensure that learning remains engaging and catered to a student's individual learning style.
