About Maura

I have been working with children for over 30 years. Most of my experience has been as a private nanny. I like to start with very young families and watch the children grow and reach the various milestones. However, I have also worked in Group Care. I am certified by the Office For Children as an Infant/Toddler Teacher. My experience in group care allowed me to build better multitasking skills and a great awareness for the needs of each individual child. As a nanny I love to get outdoors and explore whatever the community has to offer. I find the playground and the library great places to meet Moms and other nannies with children of similar ages. Developing social skills is an important part of early development. I like to developed schedules for young children as I think the consistency of schedules provides great security. I also love cuddling, reading, playing and generally helping children grow physically, cognitively and socially through exploring their world.

We did not actually hire Maura, as our financial situation changed. However, she came to our house for an interview. Her years of experience and expertise in this industry is evident when you meet her. She is organized, comes prepared with a a resume, and letters from previous families, all which rave about her.
