About Matia

Hello! I am currently a second-year student at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a degree in Astrophysics, with minors in Quantum Computing and Philosophy. I have been babysitting for three families over the past three years, working with children ranging from 5 months to 9 years old. I am also a proud aunt to four nephews and two nieces! I absolutely adore kids and love teaching them. While I haven't held formal tutoring positions, I have spent many hours helping my nieces, nephews, and the children I babysit with homework and I currently work with CU's PISEC program, engaging students of all ages in science-based activities. I aspire to become a professor in Astrophysics one day, combining my passions for research with teaching future generations. My goal is to help kids build problem-solving skills and, most importantly, the confidence to persist through challenges.
