About Marissa

I am a dedicated educator with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and early childhood education credentials. I currently teach 4th and 5th grade, and am an approved Step Up For Students tutoring provider. I have experience working with students of diverse abilities, learning styles, and unique educational needs. My approach focuses on providing individualized, engaging, and supportive instruction that meets each student where they are academically. I specialize in strengthening foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, addressing learning gaps, and building students' confidence through differentiated instruction. I believe every child has unique strengths and the potential to succeed when provided with the right tools, encouragement, and individualized support. My goal is to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels empowered to learn, grow, and achieve academic success.
