About Marisa

My name is Marisa, and I'm a rising fourth-year nursing student at the University of Virginia. While I don't have formal tutoring experience yet, I've always had a strong academic background, especially in math. In high school, I was a year ahead in math and completed AP Calculus BC as a junior. My nursing coursework at UVA has further strengthened my skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication; qualities I believe are essential for a great tutor. I'm patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoy helping others understand challenging material, and I'd be excited to support students in reaching their academic goals.
