My name is Maria. I work as a substitute teacher assistant ( paraeducator) for K-12th. I have worked in education on and off since 1995. I especially enjoy teaching reading and math! I often find that a student's confidence first needs to be addressed. Some students feel that they 'will never learn' whatever topic they struggle in. But through learning the basics, slowly and thoroughly , their confidence can grow and they can see progress as something attainable. It's very rewarding for me to see the excitement in a student's face when they grasp a new concept. It's especially rewarding working with those that struggle.
