Hello, my experience has been the following: 3 . 5 years as Personal Assistant/Caregiver for stroke survivor. Recovery process entails working w/ the client daily on speech drills, occupational therapy techniques as well as physical therapy techniques. Monitor med intake, schedule appts., light house keeping, trans to/from appts., keep motivated/engaged. 1 year Caregiver semi wheel chair bound individual primarily evening and over night shift; provided emotional support, prep meds, bathing/dressing/toileting, mobility asst., meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry and companionship. 1 year Caregiver: support needs of husband/wife with cognitive and physical decline : prep meds, meal prep, trans to appts/errands, light housekeeping/laundry, gardening, mobility assistance, and companionship. I enjoy the time I spend working with my clients, supporting their needs, improving the quality of their life to the greatest and highest of my ability in a safe and respectful manor!
