About Margaret

I am a mom to two great boys 16 and 13. About five years ago I was lucky enough to leave behind my dental assisting career of 20 years and take care of them full-time. Three years ago I became a part time teacher's assistant for a local preschool, which I continued (and loved!) for two years. Unfortunately, we lost our classroom to full-time Kindergarten and the program closed. A few months later I started caring for a 5 yr old boy in my home, who I picked up from morning Kindergarten five days/wk. We had lunch, played board games and played outside on a daily basis. I continued caring for him until school ended in June 2014. In Dec 2014, I cared for a little 9-month-old girl until the end of March 2015 when she and her mother moved to Colorado. I took care of her full time in my home. She and I had so much fun together! I loved feeding her a bottle, rocking her while reading books, watching her discover a new toy! All those "firsts" in a baby's life; taking her first steps, eating table food, drinking out of a cup! This experience made me realize how much I love caring for infants. I enjoy toddlers and preschoolers, too! Playing indoor/outdoor games and doing arts and crafts are my specialties.
