About Marcy

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, inquisitive, open minded, and flexible I like tutoring because I feel like it is sometimes hard for me to learn in the way that everybody else does. I am fascinated with the different ways that people learn and really enjoy learning as well. I started tutoring in 2011, when I was a staff educator and Supervisor at Pine Rest and when I became a certified behavior technician for teaching autistic individuals. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my teenage children and my dog Rocco. I also like to DIY refinish old furniture. One thing you should know about me is I don't believe there's just one way to do something right. I feel it's best to figure out what makes sense to the student for success. My skills include Psychology and social studies as I have a BA in Psych with minors in French and Biology. I'm a good tutor for English and writing courses, my spelling and grammar are impeccable. I enjoy biology and chemistry as well.
