About Meghan

Hello! My name is Meghan. I am a 28-year-old with an environmental engineering degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. I have been a teacher or tutor on and off for the past six years. My first teaching job was at a school in the Bahamas where I designed a math curriculum centered around sustainability. I believe that making STEM a relevant and accessible tool inspires students to invest in their own learning. I have also taught math in the Peace Corps and at a corporate tutoring company. I am a certified yoga teacher and have spent extensive time at meditation centers, both of which have helped me to expand the tools I use when teaching. I enjoy most things outdoors, so much so that I have spent quite a bit of time teaching outside. I am passionate about teaching because I love seeing people be empowered by their own abilities to learn what was once challenging or inaccessible. My goal is to teach, but only until the student can learn to teach themselves.
