About Mahelet

I have a B. S. in Biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I currently work in research at CU Anschutz and Children's Hospital, and I'm also a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where I support children with autism in building social, emotional, and behavioral skills. I have over 5 years of experience working with children as a tutor/mentor and RBT. I've always been passionate about working with kids, I love seeing their faces light up when they overcome a challenge or learn something new. I'm fun, responsible, and nurturing, and I treat every child I care for as if they were my own. I bring strong skills in discipline, adaptability, and communication, and I always prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, reading, and taking care of myself. I'm currently looking for part-time babysitting opportunities where I can combine my love for children with my experience and training in child development.
