About Mackenzie

I started working with children at 13 by caring for my younger cousins and neighborhood kids. Since then, I've been a camp counselor, nannied for families for the past six years, and worked in both Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms. I have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, creating safe, nurturing environments where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on activities. I understand that every child develops at their own pace and enjoy adapting my approach to fit each child's unique personality and needs. My skills include planning engaging activities, arts and crafts, encouraging outdoor play, maintaining routines, preparing meals, helping with homework, transporting children, assisting with household tasks, and creating a positive, supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, confident, and excited to learn.
