About Machel

I'd describe my personality as passionate, open minded, and warm hearted! I like tutoring because the opportunity to learn is a gift. I always enjoy learning and helping others find that same joy. I'm looking for a job that is flexible with my current teaching job and brings out the best in both of me and my students! I started tutoring when I started teaching 5 years ago. Before then I was also in some sort of mentor position for work, with both adults and children. In my spare time, I like to play and watch volleyball, explore the area, read and write, discover new music, play video games, and spend time with my friends and family! One thing you should know about me is that I have ADHD. I've worked closely with special education students in my classes, and I can empathize with them. My skills include a deep understanding of the English language, organized lesson planning and progress tracking, building trust, and teaching with empathy, patience, and motivation.
