About Lynda

Through customized individual instruction, student educational ownership, and engaging lessons, I believe every student can achieve their educational goals. With over 10 years of experience as a Colorado Certified Teacher and 35 years working with students, I believe fun activities based on student interest aid the learning process. I actively observe how each student interacts with new material, then adapt my methods through visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions to suit their unique style. I keep students engaged by connecting complex concepts to their personal interests and celebrate every "aha!" moment. I believe clear communication with families is essential for building a collaborative environment. I am comfortable working with pets and am happy to meet at your home, the library, or online to help your elementary student eith Math, English, Writing, Science, History, or Study Skills. I look forward to helping your student grow and succeed.
