About Lydia

I'd describe my personality as flexible, creative, and energetic. I like tutoring because working in small group settings and 1-1 really allows for growth with students and meeting their individual needs. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help young people achieve their potential. As an experienced teacher, I understand how to connect with kids and light a spark in their learning. I believe in curiosity as a fundamental part of learning and like to unearth that within the students I work with. I have a background in art education and special education, with an emphasis on reading intervention practices. I currently work full time in CPS so I am familiar with most learning standards and curriculum.
