About Guadalupe

I currently work for Chicago Public Schools as a Sped. Classroom Assistant and have been working for CPS for four years now. I currently work in early childhood education and I think it's one of the most exciting and rewarding from all the age groups I've worked with, but I also worked with second and fourth grade students. I attended DePaul University and majored in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. I'm bilingual and speak, read and write fluently in Spanish. My career path in education was something I wanted to explore and learn more about because of how fulfilling and rewarding the profession is. Working directly with students with IEP's has its challenges, but witnessing the growth academically and socially, is the most rewarding part of my job. I continue to learn and grow just as much as my students, and I strive to have a positive impact on all my students like my teachers have done for me.
