About Sarah

I'm a 6th-year educator and experienced tutor with a Master of Arts in Education and an Illinois Professional Educator License for grades 1-6. I have worked with students from PreK through 6th grade and currently teach 4th and 5th grade at Skinner West in Chicago. I provide individualized tutoring in reading, writing, and math and have experience helping students build skills, confidence, and reach grade-level expectations. As a certified Wilson Reading Dyslexia Practitioner, I have specialized training in structured, multisensory literacy instruction and supporting students with language-based learning differences. I also have training and experience in multisensory math, using hands-on manipulatives and a concrete-to-representational-to-abstract approach. I tailor instruction to each student's individual strengths and needs, with the goal of building both academic skills and confidence.
