About Destinee

Hi families! I'm Desi -- a certified Special Education teacher with a Master's degree and 5 years of experience in CPS. I specialize in early literacy, math foundations, communication skills, and supporting students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and developmental delays. My teaching style is calm, structured, and patient. I use visuals, multi-sensory instruction, behavior supports, and IEP-aligned goals to help students feel confident and successful. I meet every learner where they are and break tasks into clear, manageable steps. I love helping children build reading skills, improve comprehension, strengthen math, increase independence, and develop communication (including AAC).
