About Luz

Luz (Andrea) was an amazing and loving caregiver to our daughter during her time as our nanny over the last two years. We were in a nanny share with one other family, and she joined us during a challenging time in the midst of the pandemic. Andrea was such a huge support to our families and did a fantastic job with entertaining, teaching, feeding, and caring for the kids despite being cooped up inside for such a long time. She is a great communicator and always worked well with us to let us know what the kids were up to during the day, what they were learning, what challenges they were having, etc. As the kids got older, she spoke Spanish with them, reading stories and singing songs, and both kids developed understanding of both English and Spanish. She kept the kids on a good schedule, including trips to the playground, lunch cooked at home, and nap times. As they got older, they also started to do a few short trips around town to other playgrounds or activities. Andrea is dependable, never missed a day, and always communicated ahead of time if she needed a day off or planned to take a holiday. We still keep in touch now, as she and our daughter grew very close during their time together! My only regret is that the timing will not work out to hire her again for our second child =) I cannot give a higher recommendation.
