I have always been a very compassionate and nourishing person. My biggest rewards have always been when I'm helping or caring for others. Through the years, I have worked with many special needs individuals. I worked for 10 years in a community mental health system. I trained consumers at a day program and taught them in areas of independent living skills. I not only worked in the classroom, but also spent time in the community working on shopping, banking, and any other skills the individual needed personal assistance and training. I have also worked with Autistic children and have experience as an activities director of a medical care facility working with residents, many of them had Dementia and Alzheimer's diagnosis.
