I have taken care of people my entire life. My mother had 14 back surgeries alone, (as well as several other surgeries), and was bed ridden, and in and out of a wheelchair for most of my life. When she got cancer, I cared for her at home for as long as I could, and also brought her home for hospice in the end, so she could pass with dignity, in her own home. The cancer spread to her brain very quickly, and she lost the ability to function on all levels. I do know how to use sheets to move people. My mother never had anything that remotely resembled a bed sore either, which is something I take pride in, as bed sores are much easier to get when someone is bed ridden than most people realize. I have taken care of other people as well. My mother is not the only experience I have. It's simply the most extensive. When I care for others, it was for no more than 12 to 16 hours per week, (a couple, to few hours per day, sometimes every other day even.)
