Experience: 5 yrs
As a nanny I worked with the whole family. During Covid the grandma moved in. I started to help her out. Over the 5 years I stayed with her every time the family left on vacation. Some of the things I helped her with included. Showering, dressing, medical management, cooking meals, outings, shopping, sorting out bills, organizing and companionship. I also was my uncles aid when he went thru 3 rounds of cancer treatment over 7 years. I took him out to shop a bit since he lived in nursing facility. I was his power of attorney. I made sure the nursing facility was doing things for him such as bathing, changing sheets and dealing with a many complex issues between all the facilities he visited and lived. I know how to help people with their Medicare plans. I also worked as a long term ombudsman after one of the families my uncle was at didn't take care of him. I realized they're many people who don't get the care or help in care. It can be a little thing like housekeeping to neglect.
