About Lia

My caregiving journey began in Hawaii, where I helped at my aunt’s care home: assisting residents with gentle exercise, feeding when necessary, providing and guiding arts and crafts hour, prepping and cooking meals, and facilitating group outings. I worked as a temporary caretaker for an elderly woman, providing meals, light household help, ordering necessities to her house, conversation, and companionship. For the past four years, I’ve also been one of the on call caretakers for my grandmother. Supporting her daily routine, preparing meals, ensuring her comfort, and keeping her company to prevent isolation and loneliness. I’m not a medical or live-in caretaker and do not provide bathing, dressing, or dementia/Alzheimer’s specific care. My strength lies in creating a warm, safe, and uplifting environment for elders who value independence, need some extra help, and enjoy companionship.
