About Leah

I'd describe my personality as patient, easy going, and thoughtful. I like tutoring because I love fostering confidence and a growth mindset in students through an individualized learning approach. I'm looking for a job that fits in with my teaching schedule, has consistent hours, and will be long lasting through end of school year. I started tutoring when I was 22 years old which inspired me to pursue my M. Ed in Elementary Education. In my spare time, I like to spend time with friends, try new coffee shops and restaurants, and go for walks. One thing you should know about me is I am data-driven and will use evidence-based practices and assessments to inform my lesson plans. My skills include extensive knowledge of mathematics and economics, elementary level (K-6) reading skills, and building lasting confidence and love of learning in those I work with.
