About Leah

I'm a reliable, kind and empathetic person looking for a job where I can provide a safe, warm, and trusting experience for the child/family. I like working with kids because I learn something different from them every day. I enjoy reading in various voices, singing- making up songs on the spot, and play- which looks different for each kiddo. I started working with kids when I was 12 as my mom's "assistant teacher." At 18 I had my own class and taught part time in college/grad school. I have 25+ years teaching early childhood thru middle school full time. In my spare time, I like to read, cross stitch and take walks around the neighborhood. I will care for your child as if he or she were my own-providing a safe environment and interacting with love, kindness, and empathy. I am organized and consistent while being prepared for the unknown. I love learning new things and share my knowledge as well. (I know about everything from Bluey and Paw patrol to Avengers and Star Wars.
