My name is Mackenzie and I am a recent college graduate from Chatham University. I currently do person care with adults with mental and physical disabilities. I am looking to gain more experience in childcare to both save for Grad school and decide if this is a field I would like to pursue full time. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, excited, and kind. I like working with kids because it gives me the abiltity to support the next generation, while opening my world view to their experiences and needs. I started working with kids when I landed an internship as an afterschool counselor at Shady Side Academy Junior School. In my spare time, I like to read biographies, try new restaurants, and explore Pittsburgh.

Mackenzie has babysat for us several times for date night. We met her through our afterschool program and she really clicked with our kid! While we’re out, she hangs with our 10-year-old, keeps an eye on our 12-year-old, and helps with our three dogs. She is so great with our younger son who is on spectrum because she is so patient and kind and has a calm and positive energy. Our child even asks mom and dad to go out on dates so that he can hang with her! What more could you ask for?! We will definitely book Mackenzie again and highly recommend her.
