About Lauren

I am a Certified Nursing Assistant who worked at a care center for 8 months while in college. My reason for leaving was because I moved back home, sadly. I thoroughly enjoyed working at my care center as I formed numerous relationships with residents who truly inspired me. They were all amazing people with incredible backgrounds and now they have reached the point were they needed a little help. I worked on a wing where 23 of 24 of the residents were dependent which challenged me but provided me with some great experience. When I said my goodbyes many of the residents praised me for my work, one notably said "you were one of the good ones, you didn't treat us like cattle". This statement drew me to tears but made me realize I had made and impact on these residents lives, which is more than I could have ever asked for. I took pride in not only providing care but also forming relationships and making each residents day a little better.
