To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to highly recommend Carelle , whom I have Known for 17 months, as a candidate for your nursing position. Carelle worked as my in-home PCA during her junior year while completing her nursing degree at Northwestern University. Carelle’s dependability, initiative and competence in completing all my cares is in my experience exceptional. Carelle has helped me with the in-home personal cares necessary to support my independent living situation. Carelle is a fast learner, requiring only a minimal degree of instruction to perform the cares I require. Most impressive and appreciated is her ability to anticipate my needs for good home healthcare. She is willing to offer her insights and thoughts regarding my care, yet she appreciates that, ultimately, my healthcare decisions are mine to make. She is very diligent in monitoring my needs in the areas of wound care and has a deep understanding that wound care is a critical part of my good health as a quadriplegic. She also has adapted to and helped me implement my in-home respiratory care. She assists me in adhering to my daily regimen using a cough-assist device, pummel vest, nebulizer and Bi-PAP. Carelle also takes initiative in the maintenance of my home-health equipment and the sanitizing of my environment. She maintains my home-health environment professionally with an eye toward proper procedure, organization and teamwork. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Carelle.
