About Laura

From studying education in undergrad to leading 13 Tinkergarten classes, rec center classes & The Children's Garden, her full-time licensed early childhood program, while homeschooling 1 of her 3 children into a full-ride at college, she's served in schools of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Haiti, & South Africa, was an exchange student in El Salvador, attended Beijing Language & Culture University & U of Hawai'i. A Leadership Arlington, Arlington Neighborhood College, AmeriCorps & CERT alum, w/ a Silver Bike Friendly Business rating, the 2014 Green Patriot Award from the County Board, GMU & EcoArlington & in WABA's top-3 Bike Friendliest School nominees, with experience in Montessori, Classical, Waldorf, and Reggio, she loves creativity. Trained by the Center on the Social & Emotional Foundations for Early Learning, NAEYC, & Lifeways, she explores nature, wellness & organic gardening, attends community & service events & delightedly shares the joy of learning & discovery with children.
