Greetings. We are a retired military family. I am certified to teach regular education K- 6 and Special Education K- 12. I began teaching students with learning disabilities and never left, as that is where my love and gifting is. My expertise is with struggling readers and writers. I do assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses of the child, as that helps me learn how to use their strengths to work with the weaknesses. I utilize my own resources/curriculum, as I have found for many students, it is usually not a curriculum problem, or I pull from many places to meet the child's needs in order for them to be successful, build confidence and construct a tool box for them to learn from. I walk along side and help educate the parent too. We are a team.
