About Kitty

Hello! My name is Kitty, and I recently graduated with a double major in Biological Sciences and Chinese Language & Literature. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, trying new recipes, crocheting, and learning video editing. I am a member of my college's Chinese Flagship Program and previously studied abroad in Taiwan through the Critical Language Scholarship. This Fall, I will return to Taiwan as a Boren Scholar, where I will take direct-enrollment courses, continue advanced Mandarin study, and complete a research internship in a laboratory. I have several years of tutoring experience working with elementary and middle school students across a variety of subjects. In college, I also tutored fellow students in chemistry, helping them build confidence and strengthen their understanding of challenging concepts. I strive to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment that is tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style.
